Thank you for choosing Hear.You.
Before we begin working together, I'd like you to understand what Hear.You. offers, what you can expect from our sessions, and the professional boundaries within which I work. Please take a few moments to read this document carefully. If anything is unclear, you're always welcome to ask.
By booking and attending sessions, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the information below.
About Hear.You.
Hear.You. provides psychologically informed emotional support for adult women through confidential online sessions.
The aim of our work together is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgement. Rather than offering advice or solutions, I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and help you reflect on what feels important to you.
My approach is grounded in psychological knowledge, evidence-informed practice and compassionate listening.
What Hear.You. is not
Hear.You. is not a psychology, psychiatric or medical service.
I do not:
diagnose mental health conditions;
provide medical advice;
prescribe treatment;
offer crisis intervention;
provide emergency mental health care.
If, during our work together, I believe another professional or specialist service would better meet your needs, I will discuss this with you and, where appropriate, support you in accessing further help.
Scope of Support
Hear.You. may be suitable if you would like support with areas such as:
stress or overwhelm;
life transitions;
anxiety or overthinking;
relationship difficulties;
self-esteem and confidence;
loneliness;
emotional wellbeing;
personal growth and self-understanding.
It may not be appropriate if you require specialist treatment for severe or enduring mental health difficulties, active addiction, significant eating disorders, psychosis, or if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Sessions
Sessions are held online using a secure video platform.
Each appointment lasts approximately 50 minutes.
You are free to end support at any time. Equally, I may recommend ending or pausing our work if I believe another service would better support your needs or if continuing would not be in your best interests.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is extremely important.
Everything you share during sessions is treated confidentially.
There are, however, a small number of situations where confidentiality may need to be limited. These include:
if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself;
if there is a serious risk of harm to another person;
safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult;
legal obligations, including court orders; or
other exceptional circumstances where disclosure is necessary to protect life or prevent serious harm.
Wherever possible, I will discuss any proposed disclosure with you before sharing information.
Professional Supervision
To ensure safe, ethical and reflective practice, I attend regular professional supervision.
During supervision I may discuss aspects of my work using anonymised information. Your identity will not normally be disclosed.
Online Sessions
To help create a safe and confidential environment, please:
attend from a private location wherever possible;
use headphones if appropriate;
minimise interruptions during the session;
ensure your device and internet connection are suitable.
If technical problems interrupt a session, we will make reasonable attempts to reconnect. If this is not possible, we will arrange an alternative solution.
Emergencies and Crisis Support
Hear.You. is not an emergency or crisis service. Please do not rely on Hear.You. if you require immediate assistance.
If you are concerned about your safety or someone else's, or if you require urgent mental health support, please contact:

Attendance and Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Fees and Payment
Payment is due before each session unless another arrangement has been agreed.
Current fees are available on the Hear.You. website.
Communication Between Sessions
Email is intended for practical matters such as arranging appointments or answering administrative questions.
Hear.You. does not provide therapeutic support by email or outside scheduled sessions.
If you require urgent emotional support between appointments, please contact your GP or the appropriate emergency services.
Records and Data Protection
Brief confidential notes are kept following each session.
These records are stored securely and managed in accordance with the Hear.You. Privacy Policy and UK data protection legislation.
You have rights regarding the personal information held about you, including the right to request access to your information in accordance with UK GDPR.
Working Together
Our work is collaborative.
You are encouraged to tell me if something does not feel helpful, if you have concerns about our work together, or if you would like to approach things differently. Open communication helps create a relationship built on trust, respect and mutual understanding.
Ending Support
You may end sessions whenever you choose.
I may also recommend ending support if:
your needs fall outside the scope of Hear.You.;
another professional service would be more appropriate;
continuing would not be in your best interests; or
respectful professional boundaries cannot be maintained.
Where appropriate, I will provide information about alternative sources of support.
